Who manufactures the best uPVC windows?
No single manufacturer is best for every job. Judge a uPVC window by its profile class, BFRC rating, hardware, warranty and accuracy of build, not by brand. A Class A profile, a Band B or better energy rating and PAS 24 hardware are the practical benchmarks.
What should you compare between makers?
- Profile wall thickness and class under BS EN 12608
- Number of chambers and U-value for the whole window
- Locking gear and whether PAS 24 results exist
- Quality of welds, finish and gasket fit
- Lead time, delivery and breakage policy
Does the profile system matter more than the fabricator?
Both count. The system sets thickness and thermal performance, but the fabricator controls welding, glazing and sizes. Ask for the test evidence and any BFRC certificate.
How do you test a supplier?
Order one trial unit, check squareness, operation and finish, and then commit. Our supply-only uPVC windows are available at the Worthing trade counter for inspection. Keep the trial unit’s paperwork with the job record in case a customer later queries the specification.
Need a trade price? Call the trade counter on 01903 262 636 or visit us at Unit 1, Friar Walk, Worthing. We offer free delivery within 30 miles.
